Due to shady characters on the web, the FTC and Google have both stepped up to the plate and demanded more serious disclaimers about claims regarding weight loss.

For the most part, I say "Cheers!" But most people are just putting boilerplate disclaimers up to satisfy the powers-that-be. And certain sites being used as "examples of purity" are anything but.

Therefore, I decided to do something more... unique. More in-line with the unique principles I teach on this website.

So... here's the deal:

If anyone tells you they have a fool-proof, "easy" way to lose weight, RUN.

Surprised? You shouldn't be. This is a site based on facts, honesty and delivering the goods.

There is no fool-proof way to lose weight. Period. And the reason? Everyone is metabolically unique. Every body responds differently to even the best protocols for weight loss, like the ones offered on this site.

Of course I believe my books and products to be the best. I'd be a con artist not to. And I used these exact techniques to go from obese to super-lean (36% body fat to under 6% body fat) and STAY lean (under 10% body fat) by adhering to my lifestyle-friendly diet and exercise plans seen on this website. I am not metabolically super-human. I do not take weight loss drugs. I have never had plastic surgery. In short, I'm not much different than most people.

But hang on: I work HARD at it. I train hard. I eat the way I recommend consistently... not perfectly of course, but consistent enough. That, along with the right mindset, is the reason for my impressive before and after pictures.

I think if I can do it, anyone can do it. And I'd tell you if I thought I had super genetics (I know them when I see them) or any other unfair advantage. I don't. But I have a hell of a work ethic. (Thanks dad!)

Do you know the number one reason people fail to lose weight on ANY program, no matter how well-designed that program is? It's because most people never even START the program, or if they do start they stop LONG before any significant results can be seen.

This is just a cold, hard fact... and thanks to that fact, "results may vary" loses it real meaning. So here's MY disclaimer: "Results will most certainly vary! Absolutely and without question! That's because many people will buy a weight loss book to feel better about things and never apply it or quit before giving it the time and personalization required to see results. PERIOD!"

And for the record: I encourage a 1-2 pound per week weight loss goal for ANYONE as a healthy and realistic guideline for long-term weight loss that, for a change, can STAY LOST! But I refuse to lie to satisfy some suit in a cubicle who hasn't seen his abs since he was 12, so the FACTS are also that you can lose weight faster than that during SPECIFIC times and under SPECIFIC metabolic conditions. Just don't bank on it. Those conditions are hard to achieve, and even when you do (and I do frequently, as do many of my readers) it only lasts 3 weeks or so. After that weight loss SHOULD drop back to the normal 1-2 pounds per week if you're eating and moving like I suggest.
